Join me for monthly therapeutic yoga classes
at my office, 1633 Fillmore St, suite GL3 (Ground Level 3)

Classes are scheduled from 9am to noon on:

  • Jan 19th - Fluid Forward Folds from health hips
  • Feb 16th - Strong Warrior Poses from steady legs
  • Mar 16th - Beautiful Balance Poses from flexible feet

Each class begins with anatomy, kinesiology and yoga basic principles, followed by a two hour yoga practice (all levels welcome) and we finish with a homemade lunch provided by Russell.

Fluid Forward Folds from health hips - Jan 19th Saturday Class

January's class is on fluid forward folds. Have you felt stuck in your progress in poses like Pyramid, Down Dog, and Seated Forward Fold? Do you keep practicing them and feel like you're just not making any headway? I so get that feeling! Get this, it sometimes has to do with working your hips differently.

We're going to spend two hours working on stabilizing the hips and exploring flexibility and strength in all sorts of folding positions. The better we do this, the more our backs feel relaxed, our shoulder settle, and our legs thank us! You'll probably discover how much you've been overdoing it and with some patience, easy breathing and stability, you can fold more than you thought in no time flat.

Class is scheduled to start at 9am Jan 19th. We will review anatomy and kinesiology principles, then move through a yoga practice that is accessible to all levels of experience. Lunch is provided as well, by our own Russell McGimbel. He's bound to whip up something super tasty.

Space is limited to six people. Please wear comfortable yoga clothes and bring your own yoga mat. I have any other props we will use.

Workshop Options

Join me for Wednesday night therapeutic yoga classes

Let’s explore how the body moves over three months with therapeutic yoga. This class is for anyone who wants to move out of tightness, soreness, stiffness and pain, and into more ease, fun, humor and power. Each class will have an anatomical focus (a joint in the body) and how that focus affects the whole body. You bring yourself and a yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothes. I’ll bring all the props you’ll need to enjoy the experience. Class size is limited to six students to ensure you get a very personalized experience. Space is limited to six students in order for you to get a more personalized class experience.

Dates:

January 9, 16, 23, 30 focusing on feet, knees, hips & lower body integration
February 6, 13, 20, 27 focusing on lumbar spine, middle back and ribs, neck and head, & torso integration
March 6, 13, 20, 27 focusing on wrists, elbows, shoulders & upper body integration
